CLEMMONS — The Holy Family Homeschool Enrichment Co-op at Holy Family Parish hosted a veterans appreciation brunch on Nov. 15.
The students thanked local veterans for their service and learned about life in the military.
After brunch, the students split into three groups for an age-appropriate lesson.
Older students participated in a panel discussion with six veterans.
Some of the veterans prepared speeches, brought photographs to share or wore their uniforms, while Army veteran Walter Emery brought a model of the helicopter he piloted in Vietnam.
